On one hand, there are the so called “Blow Holes” in Mughsayl – west of Salalah, which are not only an attraction due to its natural water fountains – but also due to its impressive rock formations and the unspoiled white beach. In that same area, the famous “Zigzag” road, one of the steepest roads with a stunning view over the countryside finds its way of the mountains.
On the eastern side of Salalah, the ancient fishing town of Mirbat, the marvelous waterfalls of Wadi Darbat, as well as the ancient Frankincense port “Khor Rori” are worth a visit.
Furthermore, adventurous tours into the Empty Quarter Desert – also called “Rub al Khali” in Arabic – can be arranged. An overnight stay under the stars in one of the Bedouin camps in the world largest deserts is certainly one of the highlights of an Omantour.
